Health (WASH & SRHR)

Health, dignity, and informed choices for young women and girls

Health (WASH & SRHR)
Program summary

Health (WASH & SRHR)

WODEF improves well-being through community-based WASH and SRHR interventions, menstrual health support, and safe spaces for learning, confidence, and healthier choices.

Health access is about more than services alone. It is also about confidence, safety, information, and the everyday dignity that helps young women and girls thrive in school, work, and community life.

Program overview

Health, dignity, and informed choices for young women and girls

Our health pillar focuses on the practical conditions that shape dignity and well-being. WODEF strengthens access to WASH services, menstrual hygiene support, SRHR information, and safe spaces where young women and girls can make informed decisions about their health.

What WODEF is addressing

Why this program matters

Young women and girls continue to face preventable health risks when clean water, sanitation, menstrual products, and accurate SRHR information remain inconsistent or inaccessible. These barriers affect safety, confidence, attendance, and long-term well-being.

Delivery approach

How WODEF responds

We combine community education, practical WASH support, menstrual dignity interventions, and safe spaces for SRHR learning so young women and girls can protect their health and act with more confidence.

01

Deliver community-based WASH and SRHR awareness sessions tailored for young women and girls.

02

Support safe spaces where participants can ask questions, share experiences, and build confidence.

03

Connect practical health promotion with dignity products, local referral pathways, and sustained follow-up.
