We are a women-led non-profit, non-political Community-Based Organization founded in 2022 by a group of like-minded rural women to support local communities find sustainable solutions to economic and social hardships faced by rural and peri-urban women and girls to achieve gender equality.

WODEF is committed to mobilizing resources locally and internationally to empower grassroots feminist organizations to champion women’s and girls’ rights and promote economic empowerment for women from high poverty-stricken households across in Kenya. We are a force that works through National and grassroots women-led groups and coalition movements to strengthen communities’ resilience.
